RE: Bear Hunting!
welcome to the board. I live in and hunt for bears here in New Brunswick. I hunt for them in the spring over bait which is a little different then in the fall. If I'am not mistaken you guys up there only have a fall season. In the spring I like to use bread, donuts, jo louis cakes etc. I have a Bread store near my house that sell old bread of 75 cents a tray which is 8 loafs. Grease is a key per bait site I use about 15 gal which is 3 buckets. The best grease comes from mom and pop restaunts. Mc donalds and kfc change grease to often. Also I clean out the freezer and throw all the old freezer burnt stuff out. They love old ice cream! and popcicles leave the ice cream in the container and put the popicle in a old ice cream container besure to get the sticks out first. anise oil works awesome to put pour it over and around the hole and get some molasses too about 5 gal and pour it over the bread but not the good stuff back strap or black strap stuff works just as well and it is really really cheap!. so the stuff you need is grease, anise oil, molasses, beard, old dounts, old freeze burnt stuff, some fish (i go mackeral fishing in the summer and catch a couple dozen extra for bait). They will eat just about anything
