David, didn't have the Guardian on a scale, but it was a factory ordered 60# bow and the b.c. said it was tested at 60.1 lbs.
It has nothing to do with how the draw force curve is at all, it just seems like these two bows feel heavier (draw weight) than the other 70# bows that I have shot/owned. The Guardian is possibly the nicest bow that I have ever had in my hands (definetly the quietest and most shock free) and if the draw cycle were to feel like my Old Glory I would have dropped the hammer and bought one.
Arthur, I have shot the BowTech Pro40 wheely, never shot the Hoyt wheel 1/2, but that bow brought a whole new meaning to smooth.
My whole point here is that it just seems that the draw cycles on alot of bows are being compromised the past year or two just to gain speed and I believe that it is unnessacary as there have been faster bows that drew better in the past. It seems like that each year brings on a bunch of great innovations but yet the draw cycle keeps moving backwards. I want to see a bow that draws like my 04 BowTech Liberty did that can push out 335 f.p.s. IBO. It could be done, but it seems like that aspect of bows is getting pushed back further on the list and innovations to make the bow have less shock, less noise, and more speed keeping pushing forward. It seems silly to me as the way a bow draws is really the major deciding factor for me.
Bowtech..... please bring out a Guardian for 2008 that draws like the Liberty and has a IBO speed of atleast 320 f.p.s. and I will order 3 of them
