Jason, I agree with you completely... After I had the shoulder worked on I went to shoot a bunch of bows, because I was nowhere near 100% I shot everything set at 60lbs to compare apples/apples. The draw cycles were rough, at first I thought it was just because my shoulder was weak but then I drew my buddies '04 Xtec set at 63lbs and it felt about half as heavy.

That also had something to do with why I bought the Vectrix... To me (with late model compounds)speed is irrelevant, I buy a bow based on feel and quietness as any bow willget the jobdoneif you put the arrow where it needs to go.
