I bought a .300 Rem SAUM last year and couldn't get the group I was looking for. I am saving up to buy anew Leaupold to puton top so that I can take the scope factor out. Im going to reload and just not sure which grain bullet to go with. Any thoughts or comments on this round? thanks.
**I posted this in reloading thread and didn't get much response**
The 165-grain bullet is a good choice for all-round use in .30-caliber rifles. It combines almost the MV of the 150-grain, giving it a flat trajectory, with the penetrating capabiliuties of the 180-grain for use on larger game, such as elk and moose. I would use the 165-grain Nosler Partition or Barnes TSX bullets in that rifle.....
