Default RE: BARREL BREAK IN QUESTIONS

ORIGINAL: mt boy

JUST BOUGHT A NEW SAVAGE MODEL 16.I HAVE NEVER REALLY BROKE IN A BARREL. I HAVE READ MANYPEOPLES WAY OF DOING IT. BUT I WAS WONDERING IF IT REALLY MAKES A DIFFERANCE BECAUSEIAM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WAY TO MAKE MY RIFLES SHOOT BETTER.SO IF YOU WOULD LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK AND HOW YOU ALL BRAKE IN YOUR RIFLES[&:]
To me it is a personal decision that you will have to decide on. Like premarital sex, either you choose not to, or you do. My thinking is that there are enough folks in the business of shooting andmany manufactuers will state a break-in procedure, that if you choose to do one, you will likely cause no harm and maybe even bring out better accuracy for your particular rifle by doing so.
