Between me and two of my cousins we own the
New Martin
PANTERA
BENGAL
AND CHEETAH

They are all very nice bows and he will be happy with it.
The Pantera is VERY accurate and stable
The Bengal is nice sized, easy to handle, and a little faster
The Cheetah is nice and compact, fast, and has very nice feeling and handling.

I am sure he will be happy but i would recomend YOU shooting them to see which one you like best
