Yep it can be fun for sure.......especially at first but if you have a competitive streak like I do, 3D archery can be a slippery slope. LOL

I am actually trying to back away from serious competition because it really is a lot of precision work, and have started shooting 3D with a longbow and soon to be custom recurve.Suddenly 3D and shooting in general has become much more fun for me.
Don't get me wrong I still enjoy some serious high end competition but that side of it for me has become a bit like work and it can become just sooooooo mechanical.
16 full rounds already this season with the compound, and lots of success but my favorite round of the year was a 30 target courseI shot last weekwith my buddy Frank and my longbow.

It's a nice mental break to shoot at both ends of the archery world. I havesome accomplishments shooting compounds, and I think I'm going to try and challenge myself to do the same with traditional gear in the near future.
