RE: Team 3 "Grave Diggers"
Hey, guys, it is great to be part of this team. Up here were I live in Northern New York there are tons of birds but they are just starting to get in that spring time mood again. I have been seeing more of them progressively, and heard the first gobbleI have heard yet this spring. They arebunched up witht he hens, but I figure in a week or so they will start to break upand toms will go solo. I have a good spot picked out,one where a food plot will be going so I hope I can get some toms to follow some hens in when thehens decide toeatthe seed that will be cast. I haveconfirmed 7 separate toms and nearly40 turkeys on the farm for this year. I have adandy I spotted withthe binocularswhose beard is dragging on the ground and he isnealry about to trip on it. Usually the frost makes the beards break off but not this one. He must weigh near 22 pounds and have inch spurs. I beleiev this is the bird I had called in last year until some coyotes spoiled my fun. well, if I get a crack at hime come opening day May 1st he will be up here for you all to see.
