The funny thing about it is that the same guy found a second one later that night, but couldn't get it because it was pinned under a submerged fallen tree. He found one last year too, and I don't know anyone else who has found even one in the water. I want his luck.
We saw a huge beaver that night too (yeah you can bowfish after dark, you just need 3,000 watts of floodlight and a generator. No, really.).
The beaver wasthe size of a suitcase, and naturally the phrase of the evening was..."Did you see the size of that beaver?!", ...and it went downhill from there.
We get a bit slap-happy after dark.
It wouldn't be any fun if all we did all night was shoot moving targets with scales. Well, actually it would, but we would be missing a few laughs.
