Don't shortchange yourself - I can't see the pic perfectly clear, but the longest hair on that beard looks to be almost a full 9" long. Nice bird

Congrats on a great bird! I'm with ^ Definitely looks like the longest hair is close if not over 9".

Thanks guys. The beard had a serious case of beard-rot. Maybe 9", I'll err in favor of being conservative this time. I was accused of "overstating" stats on another internet forum turkey contest a few years ago (NOT this one), guess I'm a little shell shocked.

Hey superstrutter. I am NXT Hunter. My name is Trevor. Manofthefall is my papa. Usually my papa helps me when I post and of course we use the same computer or my papa's phone. So sometimes things get messed up because we forget to switch user names. Just hoping to clear that up.

No problem Trevor. Nice bird Nicky. I'll post the score. Looks like we're catching up.

Haven't been seeing the birds in the yard lately... spoke to the neighbor and he said that his grand kids who are home on school break have been chasing them all over the hill... ugh.. of course...
just my luck

Default congrats Uncle Nicky

I'll agree with the other posters and call that a 9'' beard, very nice bird, would like to hear some details about the hunt, I might learn something. We just need to catch up with those team 2 hunters. Also awesome hooks, beards are ok but I like to see nice spurs!
