Got it done this morning. Couldn't get my son out of bed, so Dad had a solo hunt. Nice bird and he came in hot. My first in Michigan.
Weight = 19.7
Beard = 10.5
Left spur = 1 3/16
Right spur = 1 4/16
NWTF score = 65.06
The Ithaca 12ga burped a load of 3" Longbeard XR #6 at approximately 7:45 am. Will post story and pics tonight or tomorrow.

nice job strut! Way to get it done.
Season over here... ended sat. didn't wind up going due to daughter's softball schedule... ugh..
And would you know it... the tom came right down into the yard, up the driveway and crossed the road into the neighbors yard in the am.. while I was having my am coffee.
Then came back across the road full strut around 2pm. ... always the way it goes.. that's why he's a big 3 year old... and hopefully will be back next year...
Good luck to those of you still hunting... I'll stick around and see what happens... It's been a fun season... 2 toms is always a decent season here.

He came a long way and ran the last 20 yards down an old logging road. I was buried in the emerging ferns and sapling, he never had a chance. The road Y's right in front of my setup, luckily he stopped to determine which way to go. The LongBeard XR load smacked him at 14 steps. His wingtips are squared-off, he was definitely a strutter...

Finally broke the curse. With a huge help from Zmax. It was a very quick hunt (1 day) 2 Tom's and what's better is a great new friend! Can't thank him enough. I'll get the scores here in a bit.
First tom we put a stalk on and got to around 100 yrds of him along a milo field edge when the rain came. It rained for around an hour and a half or so and they just stood there sulking but gobbling after every clap of thunder. As soon as the rain quit the hens and one tom left and I started calling to the one still there. I swear it took an hour at least for him to come 50 yrds to give us a shot. Definatly made us sit him out lol.
Second bird we went back out to try to catch some coming to roost. While slipping thru the draw we noticed they were already out in the field heading that way. We slipped up to field edge behind some grass and Brian stuck his fan up and the tom came right in.
