I'm using CCI Magnum #11 caps. I think I have some Remingtons as well but I grabbed stuff left and right as it was on clearance one day and I can't remember exactly what I have. I"ll have to look.

The nipple looks flat to me. Come to think of it, I don't remember it ever really having a cone shape to it and I looked that thing up and down hard after I couldn't get the first cap to sit right. That was actually the first cap I tried to put on there.

I am using a capper. A Flint River one that I picked up on clearance at Walmartthat holds some in a little handle type thing and you use a button/lever deal to push them out one at a time and set it on the nipple.

I have never pulled the trigger without a cap on the gun. The first time I ever personally pulled the trigger (and the gun was new) was when I shot off a cap with a patch down there to make sure fire was reaching the barrel (per cayugad's directions).
