Checking in. Hopefully rutting in S. IL will time out decently for the 20th. I still have some bucks together up here but the big guys are pretty much solo.

Not much going on here guys

I popped a decent nine pointer on Saturday, he crossed a cornfield a couple hours before dark right after we had 8 inches of snow.
I'm thinking 140ish, I'll get the tape on it tonight.

Anyone else go out yet?

I entered my deer, it scored 139.
This was our opening weekend, both bucks were taken from the same stand 16 hours apart, deer were hitting the corn field hard after the heavy snow.
I'll be back at it on 12/3 for the second 4 day gun season.

Good Luck All

Not much going on in central Wisconsin. At least on public land which I'm forced to hunt this year. Next year maybe my own land. I did find fresh HUGE tracks this morning (Friday) which means one buck got through most of the week. Two more days left. followed the tracks and I think I know where he's hiding. (Yeah, right!). Wish me luck. Did I say I had a huge buck run in front of my car and had a big doe walk by at 20 yards?

One more day in the season. Found these fresh tracks on frozen ground today. Found where they went so I know there's one monster roaming around. That's an extra large glove and a size 12 boot. I'm 6'0" and 240 lbs. Do you think this is a buck?
