Billy, the main reason for having a turkey specific gun to me is to be able to put a scope on it and also the shorter barrel is easier to maneuver in the turkey woods. I have an 870 SPS-T with the 21" barrel and I had the gun drilled and tapped for a scope. I use a Kick's Gobblin' Thunder choke tube in .665 constriction. It will pattern excellent with about any load of #5's from Win. or Rem., I used Win. Hi-Velocity #5's last spring. With a turkey gun from Remington and a .665 choke, you need not look any further for a turkey gun that will last you many springs in the turkey woods.
