Our family camp has been around since long before I was! My grandfatheracquired a little over 100 acresin Dorchester Co, Maryland, in the mid-to-late seventies. They had a trailer on there for a few years, and then built a nice cabin. What is ironic is that while I was at the cabin a few seasons back, I found in a drawer his original plans (he was a real estate agent before retiring) to split up the property and sell off housing lots. For some reason, he decided to hang onto it for the family. I am sure glad. I was not born until '87, but I have been going there during all seasons to fish, canoe, enjoy the outdoors and quietness, and most of all to hunt whitetails. I have hunted several states and places, but none compares to there. It was where I killed my first deer. Now that I am in college, I don't get to go as much. But, when I am home for Winter break, I always end up disappearing by myself for a week or so, and you can bet I am down at the cabin by myself getting outwitted by the deer. (although every now and then I manage to outwit one!)
Here is a picture, the cabin is on a river as well.
