Good luck arrow and firelt72.
We got him a bird Tuesday. Better bird than mine! It was a great morning. The storms that came thru Monday evening had them all busted up, and he walked right to us on a string.

congrats!
I had two gobblers coming in following some hens, they answered my calls and one headed uphill I thought to privet property. I heard a booming gobble then a gobbler in full strut was right behind me then walked off. Lesion learned!
I may not be hunting till late may.

Our season lasts another week in TN. I hope to put a bigger bird on the ground, but I'm gonna have to take a few days off. Hyperextended my knee the other day, and it only seems to get worse. Walking around the hills and hollers ain't going over very well. Hopefully a few days off will help, and I'll have a few days left to hunt. Good luck to everyone that is still hunting!

Hope you get better and get another bible_man! I know those hills are tough. When I hunt north Bama, I'm on the Tenn line and I know the hills only get bigger your way. Only good thing about season being over is giving your legs a rest. Lol!! Walking the turkey woods is the best way to burn off those deer season love handles

I had something happen yesterday that has not happened all season....I saw a bird- 4 actually 3 toms and a hen. Still have yet to hear a gobble. I think I may drive to a state park and a call so at least I can hear one this year. I am not 100% sure why Indiana is like it is this year, winter was hard and cold. I know Arrow has has similar issues here too. Last week of season this week, shuts down Sunday 11th. I'll be out every day except Wed.

Keep at it guys. We had a unique season down here in Fla has well. Did not get as cold this year, so the underbrush was thick. Also very wet couple months before the season opened. Not sure where the birds where with mating, early or late, but it seemed like the gobblers where with hens later this year. Also seems like more hunting pressure where we hunted. You would here gobbling on one wma and go to another one, where you know there are birds, and not here anything. Was my toughest season so far.
