Keep being intruded upon by the real thing! Hens cut off the gobbler that was coming to me this morning. I mean he was a dandy. I tried to cut them off, but they must have taken a side holler off toward a field, because I never saw them again. There's always tomorrow! (at least until the last day of season)

Good luck guys. I was fortunate enough to harvest my second gobbler of the year. Bornagain64 and myself have been on a tough public land hunt the last three days. A lot of rain has really made things interesting. Here's a quick picture.

Lay em down RPD!!!! Congrats...that's a good bird. We are also battling the water here.

I finally broke down and hunted my new spot by a friends house this morning. It's 125ac and has a pasture near the house that they've been seeing birds in regular. Lucky for me they don't turkey hunt, and didn't mind me going. Well at good light when I heard the first crow, I blew my crow call to try and locate. I was soon joined by a old fat white faced golden retriever, that was hell bent on checking the woods out with me. I could only shake my head and laugh.......I made it to work by 7.

Way to go, RPD! That's funny, Ethan. I hunted one piece of private once this year...they have a Great Pyrenees...like I said, I only hunted there once..lol!
