We didn't score. Not for the lack of trying. We hunted hard Saturday, but no avail. This morning was raining so I headed home...

Ray, we heard 8 or 10 that morning. We had about 4 answering us but just didn't commit. We finally moved on one of the birds, and he ended up skirting the field we were in, just out sight. We could hear him drumming as he went around (so close). While we were on that bird one was gobbling like crazy close to where we sat up at daylight. Bad thing is it was across a creek and a mile up a hill to get back to him! Lol!!! It was a fun hunt though, lots of gobbling and finally meeting Kenny. Next time we'll stay in the swamp and out of the big hills and try our luck at daylight on my place!

Way to go, RPD! I took a youg'un with me Saturday morning, and yesterday afternoon. We got on a few Saturday morning, but they hung up at about 70 yards. Three gobblers, but they had hens with them, and none of them would break off. Moved in on some later on, but they busted us. He had fun, though, and is looking forward to the next opportunity to go. All in all, a great success.
