If you get up a little further north, the bird population is on the up-swing after a number of bad years. As with anything, it is cyclical. It was a real mild winter this year up there, not too much snow so what was left shouldn't have had too much trouble making it through the winter. I would say within a few years it should be back to fantastic hunting again.
