Congratulations on the doe. I am still trying to get one, or two, of those. Went out this morning and had two small bucks in range but no does. The bucks were in search mode, but not quite to the throw all caution to the wind point yet.

I got no updates as I have not been in the woods this year. First hunt is next Saturday morning. Anyone have any luck or seen anything?

Finally was able to score him. Hunted all day yesterday and only saw 2 does. Not sure what is happening in MD right now with the rut. Good luck to everyone. I'll be hunting hard the next two weeks to try and tag another one.

Had 5 does in range last Sunday, but it was like there was a neon arrow pointing at me. I was originally in a ground blind, but the wind picked up and pretty much blew the stakes right out of the ground so I packed it up. I'm glad I didn't see any bucks, I was going to pass on the does anyway. I'm heading back to the same spot tomorrow afternoon if I can (Navy property, I have to call at 5 to reserve the spot and if someone else grabs it I'll have to grab something else.) This time, I'm bringing my climber. There is exactly 1 tree suitable for a climber in that area that I know of, and there are several large scrapes within a 20 or 30 yards from it.

Anyone having any close encounters out there? I am still trying to conect on a doe, but have not been out much latley.

Its been a tough hunt so far ,Nothin worth shootting at. But its not over til Dec 31
