6 days to go! Got Fri. And Mon. Off so I start with a 4 day hunt. Then back to work for 4 days, hunt 2, work 2 then hunt another 4 days. Holding out for a buck the first 4 days then gonna start fillin the freezer.
Huntinboy, hope ya got a lot of tags cause the 2 of us are gonna have a hard time being competitive in this thing! Gonna be fun tryin tho!

Its gonna be tough for sure! I have two cracks at a nice buck. First for Wisconsin gun season and then for the Illinois shotgun season in the famed Pike County, really excited about that one! Hopefully will be able to contribute a buck and doe for the contest. The rest is kind of out of our hands! Would be nice if more guys showed up though to help our odds out! I am thinking fat chance though. Good luck this weekend!

Our season fires up on Saturday. I took a buck with my bow last friday and know there are still some nice deer out there. Hoping to make it 2 for 2 this year. I'll at least score a doe for the team.

Tomorrow's the big day! Weather looks good, hopefully the deer will be movin. Can't wait!!

Put one down this morning! Seen 4 different bucks by 7:30. This one was chasin does big time. Not huge but im happy, still got another tag so maybe i can upgrade. Still can shoot a doe also. May take a couple days to get it measured and posted but heres a pic for now.

Just scored my deer and posted it. Hope i did it right, score seems high to me. I came up with 94 5/8. Shouldn't have a problem adding 50 pts with a doe.
I shot one just befor dark sunday nite. She got out of the feild into the woods and a wicked storm hit right after i shot. I had my 6 yr old with me and between him, the wind, dark, and pouring rain i wasn't able to find it till the next morning. By then it was too late, coyotes got to it. Nuthin but hide and hoof left. But lots of time left to hunt so i'll get another one and get my revenge on the yotes later this winter!!
