When I killed my first bird years ago, it was still alive when I got to it and I didn't want to take any chances with losing it. I think you can turn a turkey's neck around about 7 or 8 times!!!!

The pulling the neck thing sounds like a good idea I might try if my shotgun hasn't completed the job by the time I arrive.
