ok it sounds to me liek he is already henned up!! he has his ladies so he thinks yah you can come over but im not going to you. You have a few options here.

1. you can have a buddy come and have him start next to you calling and then move farther away behind you and make him gobble once. this give the effect that another intruder bird or imatute jake has comea and taken thishen away.
2. You cna try a fighting pur and make it seem there are other toms that are going to take his new sexy hen hes been listening 2.

3. Just wait it out... wait till the hen hes has goes to nest. he knows where you are and will proble return looking for you.

4. This is a last resort if you cna see the toms and get close to him withi 150 yards and you SEE that he has a hen with him.. RUNNNN at him screaming and hollering. i kow this sounds nuts but i ahve done it before what you want is for the tom to go one way and the hen to go the other. i can almost promise you that if you sit down and let things calmdown and start calling within about 8 minutes that, that tom will be gobbling his head off trying to call her back and get back with her!! i kow it sounds nuts but i ahve shot a few birds this way.
5. you could try to move closer but you said the bird is gobbling at you so that means he can hear you and thus knows where you are. and you should proble forget about the owl hoot you already know where the bird is
