You can get the ruger 22/45 with adjustable sight for well under $300. It has a polymer frame that I don't usually like on a pistol,but the way a ruger bolt operates within it's reciever,the frame is not exposed to wear. I have never seen a ruger semiauto pistol in good shape that won't shoot/group better than I can shoot. As long as they are kept reasonably clean,an act of congress can't make them jam! The only thing I reccomend you have done to it is lighter trigger.
