I have a Drenalin, but I had a similar issue with the serving. I'm new to bowhunting, and I was worried. My pro shop owner said it was normal for stock strings and just pushed the serving together, melted the frayed ends, waxed the repaired spot and said I was good to go.
I saw a subject not too long ago about whether or not waxing the serving was a good idea. Since I started waxing the serving, it's really reduced the wear on it.
