my 35whelen has to weight atleast 8lbs.shooting that gun with 250gr. core-lokt's has just as much ummphhf! as my browning medallion chambered in 30-06sprg shooting 180gr. bullets. i thin it has more to do with the style of the stock,weight if it fits good or not.
