Hopefully it will be another decent year.. If it stays warm this year I may have to travel a little farther north to catch them still breading..

sdhunter checking in, despite the last few bad winters up here in the dakotas, turkeys seem to still be around in very good numbers, and to top it off i have 6 different farm properties to hunt this year so it should be a good year.

I'm checkin in!! I'll be back mainly in public land in Oklahoma. Have a few private spots but the public seems to be better year in and year out.

Steve25...If ya want it ya got my vote.

The season here starts April 6 and runs to May 6.

Everyone try and think of a team name so we can be throwing ideas around and get the proccess going. I am not to good at stuff like that.

So if you have an idea for a team name post it and if we get a few to choose from we will vote on which name we use.

I am all fired up for this year considering what happened last year.

I am really looking forward to the March 31st & April 1st which is the Youth Season here in Missouri and I will be taking my daughter out turkey hunting for the first time. Last year she was going to go be the weather just wouldn't let it happen.

To me there is nothing better than getting out there with the kids!!!!

I am some what concerned with warm weather so far, I have seen it happen before and it has made for a tough season as far as hearing birds.

In Missouri our regular season start April 16th and ends May 6th. They set our season up to be during the second peek in breading and I have had years with the weather being warm early and the birds are just about done by the time season hits. By that I mean instead hearing birds all season we might just get a week or so of good gobbling. It seems to happen that way more times than not when it is warm early.

But I will be out there every chance I get!!!!

I will try to think up something as well..

Last year was a good year for me with 1 tom and 1 jake.. The jake was shot during our last week of turkey season last year.. The year before nothing as it was warm and the turkeys were all done breeding early.. I hope this year is as good as last year though it has been unseasonably warm so far..

Our hunting season this year is from April 30th to June 2nd ending at noon each day..So I am one of the later ones to be hunting and hopefully filling my tags again this year..
