Also everyone if you get a turkey please post the Species.

kellyguinn done a great job posting the specs on his turkey but if you don't have scales or way to take a picture you can just post your measurments but pictures would be great if you can get some, I will help you post them if you don't know how.

Thanks
Sorry about that. Its a Rio.

Headed out bright and early (well at least early) tomorrow morning. I'll be leaving at 3am to get out to the hunting spot before sunrise. Bad weather with tornado's hit the area last weekend so i doubt has been hunted much this past week and weather this weekend looks outstanding.

Good luck to yall that are out hunting...

Default after work longbeard

Headed out to the blind this evening after work today. It rained most of the morning and the birds were pretty quiet. I was set up on a high perch in a pasture where the turkeys have been spending alot of time in the early evening. The hens were not very talkative so i wasnt either but my decoys were in good sight of the flock and as luck would have it they fed right to me and i stuck an arrow in this guy at 25 yards!!! The beard measured 8 5/8" and the spurs measured 1 3/8". Its a merriams. I dont have a scale so i hope the weight is not manditory.

Allright! Congrats on the harvest!

I'll be back at it a week from today. Got 2 cooinciding Illinois public property tags. Parcels are 1 hour apart so if I get lucky I can run over to spot B.

sdhunter11 crangrats on the turkey!!!!

We really need a weight because that is a big part of the score. If you don't know for sure just give us you best guess. I would go with the lightest weight you think it might be so know one can say we tried to cheat anyone.

If you don't have a scale and have one to weigh in yourself just step on with and without the bird and let us know the difference.
