First, the important stuff. I think 'Intentional Grounding' is pretty darn clever and that one gets my vote.
Oh ya, I got this guy this evening. Haven't scored him yet since I'm pooped but I suspect he'll be less than 100. So I haven't entered him officially yet either. It was a 17 yard shot and the arrow slipped right through his heart.

That would be really tuff Matt now having to wait. That youth hunt fired me up when we had deer walk within 10 feet of our blind. Thankfully bow season started the Monday after that hunt so now it's just all on me to get out there. A few years back Kansas didn't open bow season until 1st of Oct. but has since changed to mid Sept. So you all have an early doe only season and then nothing between until Oct.?

Last weekend was early doe 100 percent disabled and the youth hunt is goin all week then the 1st bow opens up. I wish Mi would open bow mid September I had a few nice bucks patterned pretty good then as soon as the beans turned yellow everyone of them vanished. I was hoping this year I would change.my eary season luck...guess we'll see

Congrats Canuck 2 on the buck. If I recall from an earlier post you are only alowed one buck. Can you still go after a doe or 2? I hope co, it would be great to get a buck down early, but if I couldn't go back out till next year it would be bitter sweet.

You're right, SlowDraw - basically 1 buck. But there are exceptions if I want to travel great distances. Does will be open Oct 10-31 for all and then again Dec 1-20 for archery only. So I'm not stymied yet.

Talondale checking in. I'm in VA and season opens Oct 6. I shoot a couple different old Bear recurves and an old Great Plains recurve. I started out shooting an XI Legend Magnum compound instinctive for 14 years and then when it's limbs started de-laminating I went to recurves. I'm moving from treestands to hunting more on the ground with a ghillie suit. Have had lots of deer close and personal. I'm looking to get a doe early for some meat and then concentrating on getting my buck.
Congrats to the two who've already scored. I prefer the Intentional Grounding name myself.
