Got out Saturday evening for three hours and does, does and more does. That's about what I expected but had hoped I might catch a nice buck off guard coming through right before dark. Worth a shot and nice sit watching a number of mature does feed. At times they were feeding on low hanging branches right next to my blind! Would have loved to take one but we only get one tag period now since there aren't enough deer in Minnesota anymore according to the DNR.

I got out tonight and seen at least 20 deer. 8 bucks but only one that I wanted to shoot. I snuck to within about 60 yards in the rain but I couldn't get any closer. I wasn't sure I wanted to shoot one in a down pour anyway. Hopefully I get another crack at him.

If he is a 8pt i will but if he is a 7pt im not sure if i will just depends on how big he is..

Good luck. I drove out at lunch yesterday to the farm I hunt to put my a trail cam and realized the batteries were low. ARGHHH! I did some scouting though, and found a good spot set back about 15 yards from the crop (corn) line, where I can set my haybale blind. From the looks of it, the deer are coming up the wooded hill from the bedding areas and creek below that to go into and feed along the corn line since its so secluded. In spots along the corn line it's literally trees, a few feet of dirt and then corn. Some nice buck tracks in the dirt and lots of cobs on the ground. Good luck guys.

Our season opens this Saturday October 1st. I hope to get out a few hours to get my fever started...

I passed on a 10 pt tonight. Just not the deer I'm looking for.Maybe tomorrow.

My 11 year old daughter harvested her first deer with her bow Thurs. night. I missed a decent 10 last night.

I would say 16 or 17 wide. Around 115 to 120".

I passed up my first ohio buck up tonight.. it was about 3" long. lmao.. He had a very big body, maybe in 3 or 4 years..

I've been out twice. Lots of does each time but nada in terms of bucks. I'm just hunting fringes of the farm right now because its corn everywhere and too thick to get into the spots I want to without causing a big rucus on the way in or out. That should change soon, though as the corn comes out in a few weeks. Then I've got about a 2-3 week window where I'll hunt my stand and blind locations hard according to the wind and situation. 15 days til' my opener. I've got a few SWeeeet spots all lined up with lots of sign. My Fiance saw a GIANT about 300 yards from 2 of my spots. I've got a good feeling about this season. Put em' down BOYZ!

Good Job Monster. Nice freakin deer...... I saw around 40 deer this weekend. Saw like 8 bucks but no shooters. I did shoot two does, and things are looking up. Lets get in the woods boyz... :)
