The first bird I called inanswered my call from what seemed like a mile away. I was getting ready to move towards it but gave it a few more minutes and it seemed to be getting closer. I couldn't believe I was actually bringing one in from that far, but he was definitely coming. It turned out that there were two longbeards, and as soon as I saw them I quit calling and they made a b-line to my hot hen decoy. I couldn't shoot for probably 5 minutes as they were inseperable. They moved together the whole time, and when they finally split, I just picked one and BOOM! I couldn't believe it. That was on public property too
