Just logged in and seen that the teams are finally posted. I guess I will start this off. I live in Central Florida and have been hunting Osceolas for the past 12 years. My season starts in less than three weeks and I am getting excited. It wil be a little more tough this year with time off from work but I will do my best to get in the woods as much as possible. Good luck to all fellow teammates.

Looking forward to this season. I'll be hunting central South Carolina. Manchester State Forest, Poinsett Electronic Combat Range(Shaw AFB), Wateree River Correctional Inst.(I'm a correctional officer) and a little private land. I'm not that experienced at Turkey hunting, I've only killed 4 birds and called one in for my oldest son. Good luck to all my team mates. I'll post more later.

Superstrutter checking in. I'll be off to Texas in a few weeks to get two or three Rio's. I've never come back empty handed, so I don't expect to this time either. I'll be primarily hunting my property in LA. I usually go to Tenn. for a few days also. Turkey season can't get here soon enough. I've been on two winning teams since I've been in the contests, so lets make it three.

I just logged in and noticed the teams were posted. I will be hunting in KY and this will be my 6th year hunting. I got a tom this fall and am hoping for a couple more this spring. This is my first time in the contest...

Season starts April 17th and I am really looking forward to it.

I've heard some of the old timers here in S.C. call the big toms swingers because their beards swing when they walk
so how about "Swingers"
or maybe "Beard Collectors"
or go hip hop "Camo face Killa's"

I was looking at team 2 and they are thinking about "beard collectors" also

I really don't care what our name is. If anyone wants to be captain, speak up. Here are a few name suggestions ( Fantail Fanatics, Snood Knockers, Strutters Anonymous)

Is anyone going to volunteer to be team captain? I have never participated and really don't know what is required. If anyone has participated in this contest and would like to be captain please speak up. I also think the captain should pick three names and we can vote.

Everybody has checked in except zmschillin, Canned Heat, Jason Brooks, and coyoteslayingbeast. We need everyone to check in. Season is fast approaching. I only have 10 days to go. Going to Texas for the opener. I'm hearing birds on my property, so it looks like it may be a good season.

Guys, since we are all addicted to turkey hunting, why not go with Gobblers or Strutters Anonymous. Of course this an addiction we don't want to be cured of, so maybe we should be called the Turkaholics. Let's make a decision.

how about "The Phantoms" a kind of play on words for fan toms. I don't care much for anything anonymous I don't plan on quitting turkey hunting.

I like the idea of 'snood' in the name.

Guys, let's pick a name. I'm listing several names. Choose your three favorites. We will then vote out of the three favorites. Looks like four of our team members won't be voting. Superstrutter gets my vote, nice of you to step up. I think there are some people waiting to get in the contest so I don't think waiting on the no-shows is worthwhile. as for team name my choices are

3. Tom Cats

You do need a captain as No-shows need to be reported pronto. We will not wait like last yr and will replace.

Captains need to check in on the Captain thread. Report names of no shows and how many - replacements will be found and a team name.
JW and or Arrowmaster can edit the Team number to indicate your team name too.

Guys, lets vote between these three ( Snood Swackers, Swingers, or Phantom Assasins). Also, make sure when you get a bird, score it and post a picture on this thread. If you don't know how to score it, give me the weight of the bird, length of each spur, and length of the beard, and I will score it and post it. My vote goes with Snood Swackers. Be sure to vote out of the three.

I guess I'll go with The swingers, 2nd choice would have been snood dudes but i guess that it is'nt an option.Non of the no-shows have logged in maybe going to altnernates now would work out the best.

Hey guys, went out yesterday morning and right where I thought I would find a bird, I found one and he was gobbling his butt off for about 25 minutes on the roost. Only problem is that it is on public land and due to all the water in the swamp, I know the hunters will end up right there sitting next to me. Dang it.

Since I havn't heard any other nominations or volunteers for team Captain I would like to consider superstrutter team 14 Captain, there is some time sensitive business to get done. The season is upon us. Let's get the admin stuff done cause it's time to hunt.

I've already got the ball rolling. I have pm'd Arrowmaster about our three missing members. I'm sure we will get new members soon. I have already notified them that I will be captain.
