Here is the first buck I got out of velvet. Aug 31.

The next pic is of a nice 9pts from my yard. I have been putting apples out there since I bought this place 3 years ago and this is the best buck I got a pic of from the yard. Now back on the hill is another story.

well so far not too much luck. last night saw a little 5 pt and that was it. got busted by a bunch of does walking in today so i checked the cams and left. that big ol wide 8 pt was in there last night after i left. gettin closer. its only a matter of time before i get a shot at 1 of the 4 shooters that are coming thru there(they are coming thru every day so if i dont get a shot theres something wrong). but tomorrows another day so we'll see what happens...

Still early in season. So keep your head down and hunt whenever you get the chance. I just envy the fact that you get to be out so early hunting bucks.

Ryan and I have changed our votes to Team Rack Grabbers and that puts the total at 6. So thats the majority and we officially have a team name.

Anyone getting new trail camera pics or anything?

None here. I've been getting pictures of the same three bucks and another forkhorn that wandered through.

However, rumor has it that a nice eight point has been seen around the area of my stand at a local sportsmen's club. Hopefully I'll get a crack at him early in the season.

Here are the 3 that I had on my camera over the last few weeks. A 4 point a decent 8 and a really big 8 for NC at least in my neck of the woods. I will be out there on Saturday afternoon since I have to work that morning.
