I haven't been out yet myself. It cooled down enough to hunt this weekend, but Saturday I went to Iowa City for the Iowa game, and Sunday the cold that I was catching started to really kick in. I would have scared off anything within a mile of my stand with the way I was coughing and sniffing all day. It is supposed to be pretty warm this weekend, but I might be able to sneak in a morning hunt. We will have to see. Good luck fellas!

15 hrs in tree and not a deer to be seen. Way too hot.....should have gone fishing. Don't think I'll venture out again till after first frost?

lol...if we waited for the first frost here in Florida and South Alabama, we'd only get to hunt about twice! Good luck guys. I head out Thursday.

Still waiting for my buck to show up. I have a big doe with 2 yearling testing my patience. Last Sat she hung around under my stand for 1/2 hour. Tonight she kept walking bak and forth in front of me at 18 - 20 yds until she finally left with her 2 youngins in tow.
And to add more insult sometime last night a buck made a rub less than 50 yds from my stand right on the trial I come in and out on. Well the rut is coming and he will do something stupid and I will be waiting.
