10 days for me. Going to ky this weekend to land between the lakes for some fishing and scuba diving at a place called mermet springs just in IL. Sucks bow starts on friday I like it hitting up on the weekdays so I can hunt before all those who do so on the weekends. LOL

Checking deer cams this weekend. More to follow. Things are looking much better here this year for sure. Already picking corn... More to follow...

crops are still on by my hot stand sunday afternoon is my first hunt. im jacked!!! i checked another cam and got a pic of a 10 pt that should gross 150ish. he will geta arrow.

So one week from now I will be sitting in a tree stand.......The weather is perfect and I am really getting the itch....

well they took the beans off before i could hunt at my honey hole. i went last night saw one buck i would have shot him. i went from 200 pics a week on trail cam to after they picked beans to 4 that really is discouraging. but ill keep after it.

I had a very productive day on Sunday. I went and scouted out the new property that I have to hunt. It looks like there has been some heavy deer traffic lately. I put that tail cam out there. We will have to wait and see. I also went to my parents property to cut more down trees. After I got enough trees cleared out I made my way back to my furthest in stand to find that it was stolen. I was not a happy camper! I am about 95% sure as to where this stand walked off too. I am not real sure how to handle it, but I will catch these punks trespassing again. I can guarantee it!

tedrow, I have beans but they are planted right next to a road so the deer wont be in them until after dark. and there is standing corn down the road that I can't hunt in that I am sure they have all disappeared into.

kill it n grill it, That sucks about the stand. I just went in and checked mine this past weekend and sat in there for a while with my 7 yo son. Can't wait for the season to start on Saturday.

good luck sat pops. i foumd out that they are taking the corn off this week too. either i will be able to pin point the deer or they will really vanish. i guess only time will tell. im going to go to the other farm i hunt and sit on my foods plot and see what happens. i didnt get anything big on trail cam there this year at all but was told there is a booner being seen there. as far as the stolen stand goes i would go confront the person if you know who it is

A buddy said he would show me a place he killed three bears. We turn the corner where he said he killed them and a 200 pounder is standing on the road looking at us. 200 yrds. down the road we see two shooter bucks. Guess where I'll be Sat. mourning?

so how is things guys, we hit ky for a week end trip and went to land between the lakes. All I saw was deer, deer, deer, deer. Might run down for a hunt this weekend.
Season starts monday and will be in the woods sunday.
