I've been out of town the past week, looks like you guys are seeing some nice deer!

I was shooting over the weekend when the trigger on my release (mongoose) started "catching", hard to describe, it just wasn't smooth. Cleaned it out and put a drop of oil in it and it was fine.....but now shooting about 6" high!?! After several more well grouped shots it stayed high. I adjusted the sights and am now back on, but it just don't make sense to me. Not what I needed 2 weeks from the opener.

BTW, how do I change my avatar?

Well, I didn't get the big guy. But, I did get some very nice pics of the split brow 10. Overall he has 12 points. 5 on the right and seven on the left. He has a split brow on the left and a little kicker off his G-3. He is definitely on my hit list. Probably either number 2 or 3, at least on this property. I also have a pic of a nice 8 that is out of velvet. But he is probably 2 years away. There were a couple other decent 8's but we will be passing on those as well. I will post the pics later.

To get the Avatar in JPG format on your computer, use the following link provided from JNM86WVU back on message #65 of this thread "here is the link for it.. You need to click on it to get the full link.."

http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/...ackAddicts.jpg

Right click on the picture that opens and select "Save Picture As" and then save it to your hard drive.

To add the Avatar to your profile, Click on UserCP on the dark colored menu bar near the top of the screen. It's the left most item. In the next window, on the left side, click on Edit Avatar. The next window has an option near the middle bottom to "Use Custom Avatar". Choose Option 2 and use the Browse button to load the avatar from your computer. To finish, click on Save Changes at the bottom and you should be good to go.

Good Luck

Here are the pics. The first two are of the split brow 10. The third and fifth one one is of a couple up and comers. The fourth one is of the 8 out of velvet.

Nice herd of bucks you have visiting. The split brow 10 would be a nice trophy and on the top of my list too. The first 8 looks like a good size deer and would be tough to pass with the bow, especally just before gun season. The last 8 looks like it's a 1.5 year old and could use some more meat on his bones. You've got a good range of age in your area. Good Luck

I'm agreeing with W9.. That Split Brow 10 would be tops on my list as well, but you have a very nice age range going on in your deer herd..

What's your guys opinion on the score of the split brow 10. I will post a couple of other pics I have of him so you can see some different angles.

Here are those other pics of the split brow 10. What would you guess his score?

Well if I had to guess, I'd put him in the 135 range. He's similar in stature to the buck my son shot last gun season. I really really hope you get to prove me right in my estimate with an actual measurement for Team 16.
