Start of the season actually has been kind of slow. without much to report.

Friday morning I ended up taking one of my nephews out
We saw 2 does

Friday evening was more of the same -uneventful with a sighting of the same two does .

This evenig I went over to another spot i hunt with a buddy.
Right off the bat i saw two does out in a cut bean field but was only able to watch them.
A little later I had two deer skirting the property line . One was a doe and the other all i know is it was a big bodied deer but never saw the head.

My buddy was on the west end of the property and had more exciting action. He had a couple of does come by early. Then later 3 bucks cameout of a draw into a bean field to eat. 2 were basket racks he said and the 3rd was a shooter. My buddy thought he would be a 150 class deer.
The big one came out farther down the draw than expected and never was within bowrange.

Thats all I have

Well just got back, had a great evening sitting in a tree. The deer had the good manners not to bother me.

Well, my first day was very uneventful. No deer sightings, just squirrals and a lot of geese flying over head. I going to try a farm Monday evening.

Kendall just got his antlerless deer, so now he can buck hunt.

I know, you're not my team... so here's my obligatory 'Boo... Hiss!'
(but I'm still happy for him..)

Hey guys. No bucks to report but I saw a ton of does! Several were kind enough to come by my stand within bowrange and I tagged one (DRT). Check out my story and pics:
