I had a Great Weekend in Ohio, I just hope I don't come to regret it. I saw plenty of deer and had two shot opportunities. I just chose to pass on them. The first one to come in was a 3-1/2 year old 8 point that would have scored between 110 & 115. He was within 10 yards for over 10 minutes. The second one came in after he left and made a scrape. He was a 2-1/2 year old 12 point that would have scored about the same. A very unusual rack his G3 was Split on the right side and his G3 & G4 were split on the left side. He didn't have the normal Mulie split. They look like V's coming up out of his main rack as he stood looking straight at you. He hung around for about 15 minutes. He was very tempting but I just don't want to shoot a 2-1/2 year old buck that nice. Not this early in the season anyway. I hope I don't live to regret my decisions this weekend. I'll be headed back out to Ohio on the 23rd of this month. I'm hoping the Pre-Rut will be started by then and I see more older bucks.
How is everyone else doing? I haven't even seen a buck yet here at home in PA. I guess they are few and far between. They usually show up the first week of November.

I just noticed we are in 3rd place in points. I guess if I would have taken one of those bucks this weekend we would be back in first place. There's still plenty of time left.

Hey guys, been MIA for a little while. It has been pretty slow around here, lots of does and a few smaller bucks, but no shooters.

Well I been real busy, but I did get to see a few does and fawns. Four outings this year and haven't seen a buck.

Seems that everyone is doing better then I am. I have been out only two days but I haven't seen a single deer.

On a good note, the does are really starting to hammer a food plot I planted in August. Should be a matter of time before the bucks show themselves.

Good Luck to everyone this weekend! Hopefully someone will connect.
Nothing but rain, rain & more rain here. Thank God for ground blinds.

Not much going on here at home in PA. I'm seeing lots of does. Anywhere from 6-8 every night. The bucks usually don't show up until November. I will be headed back to Ohio this weekend. I believe this will be the weekend for me. How's everybody else doing?
