Is it true that a tradition started several years ago to invite Eastern Hunters teammates to Mid Western teammates lands and vice versa to hunt ? Lets not break tradition;):party0005:

MEhuntalot 08-19-2009 03:47 PM

That sounds like a fantastic idea!

minnesotadeer 08-19-2009 06:38 PM

Checking in! Looking forward to the contest and talking with you all. Just got the family back from vacation and a got a new dog so I'm a bit behind. Normally I'd have my stands and blinds up, but I should by the opener next month. I'm hunting central and Northern Minnesota this year. Good luck everyone!

NCRemington700 08-20-2009 11:44 AM

Welcome aboard!

MEhuntalot 08-20-2009 01:30 PM

Sorry I was so brief the other night...

My season opens September 12 and runs through December 12. I can shoot unlimited does in certain districts, and a total of 2 bucks...

Last year was a good one, but I couldn't connect on any bucks with the stick and string. I got 3 does with the bow, and one 6 pointer with a rifle.

6 pointer...

Heres a picture of one that made it through last season...he is on my attack list this year...

I've got 2-3 other bucks that are comparable to the one above, and some monsters...so hopefully it will be a good season!

PABuck_HNTR 08-20-2009 03:38 PM

Checkin in guys. I'm watching some pretty good bucks here in Pa. I hope they're still around in early October when our season opens. I don't get too serious until end of Oct and early Nov.

Good Luck everyone!

If it was up to me I would say come on out. We do a little guiding on our place each year. Only a couple of bow hunters a year. It helps pay the bills, but I have met some great guys from out East doing it and made some good friends.

We are going to be putting in our fall plots this next week. I am trying my own blend this year. I have tried a lot of different blends over the years and finally found someone close to home that can get what I want for my own mix. I am pretty excited to see how it works.

PYbuckhunter 08-21-2009 09:31 AM

PYbuckhunter, checking in. Bow hunting whitetail in Wisconsin and Mule deer in Wyoming. Lots of good looking bucks being captured on the soybeans by my cameras. Hopefully, their still around come Sept. 12th.

HunterOpel 08-23-2009 01:49 AM

HunterOpel checking in, been in tampa fishing, I will be hunting ILL..

MOTOWNHONKEY 08-23-2009 05:01 AM

Looks like one guy left to check in. Millertime10, anyone know him?

crokit 08-23-2009 05:30 AM

Is there a team captain? I'm good with who ever is picked, as long as it's not me. Hopefully it's someone computer literate that will post our pics, when e-mailed to him LOL:cool2:

Not well, but he was on my team two years ago...he's not on real often, but he usually keeps in touch...

NCRemington700 08-24-2009 05:50 AM

So what is everybody's name? List your name and I post them by your screen name on the first post. That will make it easier to get to know everyone.

I'm Dave, or David. Whichever.

HunterOpel 08-24-2009 06:15 AM

My name is Darin, Hunt in ILL..
We also need to work on a team name and a Captain.. Any volunteers????

PYbuckhunter 08-24-2009 08:19 AM

My name is Aaron, but friends usually call me by my initials "AZ". Team Capt. should be someone that goes on the site a lot, and that ain't me. So anyone that really wants it, is fine with me.
I'll try to think up some names.

crokit 08-24-2009 09:28 AM

Terry's my name.

MOTOWNHONKEY 08-24-2009 12:21 PM

Chris here, I think Dave (NCRemington) is doing a great job of getting things started. Interested in being captain?

HunterOpel 08-24-2009 02:36 PM

I second the motion, NCRemington for captain!!!! He got the ball rollin...

MEhuntalot 08-24-2009 05:15 PM

My name is Dana...

NCRemington is fine with me if he wants the position!

minnesotadeer 08-24-2009 06:22 PM

My name is Chuck. And NCRemington sounds good to me for team captain.

NCRemington700 08-25-2009 05:40 AM

I just sent MILLERTIME10 a PM and an email. Hopefully he'll respond pretty quickly. He last logged in on 8-18-09 so we'll see.

As far as captain, I was captain for my team last year so if anyone else wants the position, you can can have it. Not that I won't do it but if there's anyone that wants a shot at it, I'm not going to hold you back. Just let me know.

MILLERTIME10 08-25-2009 02:51 PM

Hey guys, I am here. Sorry it has taken me so long, just had my first child and have been a little busy and tired.

When I get a little more time I will read over the posts and get know a little about everyone and let yall know a little bit 'bout myself.

Trent

NCRemington700 08-25-2009 04:11 PM
