2 big fellas that are new that i didn't see on the cam or during scouting. one looked like an 8 and the other one was bigger, but probably bigger than an 8, both with really tall tines and a decent spread. Seen them at about 100 yards are so.

Man you guys have got me jealous, i wish i was allowed to hunt already. Soon enough though (Oct. 3rd here). Keep at it the best is yet to come. North4, where you at man?

North4 signing in. Glad to be on your team. Has been a year or two since I have been in the contest, as you can tell by my previous team avatar. I missed the first signup deadline this year, but fortunately made the alternates deadline.
I live in North Dakota and hunt near the Canadian boarder. Lots of big antlered whitetails here and I hope to get one this year. Our season opened Labor Day weekend. Temperatures have been warm for this part of the country this year, so I haven't been out yet. I will be hard at it this weekend and the next. Want to get some time in the stand before the rifle season. I passed on a several nice 4x4s last fall, waiting for a bigger one. They will be bigger now so I won't pass on them this year. Hope to be on the board on Monday. Later, North4

i went out yesterday afternoon. Stood in the rain for 2 1/2 hours watching a funnel out to a field. Nothing. I was thinking that the deer had left the area, i was glad to see a couple of does tonight on my way home from Rhode island. Walked in the door to my son on the phone. He is in Navy bootcamp going on about 3 weeks. It was nice to here his voice. This was the first real phone other than the "Hi I'm here" call we got the first night.
