Three more and we're all in. Glad to see you guys and looks like we got at least one first timer in the contest, so welcome Illinois. It's a great addition to the season and a good time. Let's give the other guys a few more days until we hound them too bad.

It's going to be a great season. Talk soon.

Oh cool, things are looking up for teamates.
Off the teamate subject, Ive got small a dilema on my hands. Ive always wanted a nice big 6 pt. Ive had decent on on one of my properties the past 2 seasons I let go hoping he was going to be a toad of a 6 pt this year. The good news is he grew a good bit, the bad news is grew a little kicker at the end of one main beam, like a crab claw. Hes not going to score that high, probably will be just under P&Y, but hes no longer a 6 pt. He has some good mass, long main beams, G2s are decent, brow tines arent all that, but hes pretty wide. There are some bucks that will score higher on the property, but Im seriously considering taking. Im fairly confident I will have an opprtunity at him the first few days, I guess I will have to wait and see what happens if the opportunity presents itself.

I'd have a hard time passing on that guy....looks to be at least 20" wide!

Heck of deer D, I'd be awefully tempted to drop him as well. I got a similar pic from my buddies in KS of a six pt that is probably 28in wide. They are really rare if you think about it.

Wow, 28" wide is pretty cool. Yeah I hear you about them being rare when they get that big, thats why I have wanted to get a big 6pt so bad. I guess we'll see what happens if the opportunity presents itself. Its not always about how big they are anyway that keeps me hunting.

I guess we need to think about names and all that fun stuff. I've been so busy at work I haven't had amble time to drop in. I'm heading to the Yukon for my first moose hunt in two weeks, so I'll be gone almost all of sept. Although, I will get to hunt our opener on Sept 5th here in KY.
