Since I work at Cabelas I get to check out certain products to "test". I'm going to see about trying the new "Harry" decoy by Primos, if you haven't seen it you need to. Only issue I see with it in the store is it's color is gray, wish it came in brown. I'll give you a report as to how it works once I've tried it.

Got her at 7:08 this morning. 10 yard shot and she ran about 60 and piled up. Not too bad for the second day of the season!

Any weekend reports?

Seen 8 over the weekend hunts. A spike still in velvet, 3 does, 3 fawns, and a mysterious big bodied deer that i couldnt see its head to determine its gender haha

Deer aint moving like they have in previous years. The morning hunts are dead and the evenings aint kicking in until its too dark to shoot. I can try a mid-day hunt but its so darn hot! I dont know if deer numbers are down, or they have us hunters patterns figured out.

Nobody around here is seeing any movement at all.....kinda stinks.

Alternates have been placed, you got two former participants. please contact them and welcome them aboard.

headin back out tomorrow to try and stick another deer! hopefully this one has some antlers lol but i will be just as happy with another doe

just a few more days til oklahoma's opening day.........checked my trail cam on sunday.......got a lot of pics, no horns. last year the horns didn't start showing up on my place until mid october. can't wait to start hunting........

went this morning and seen ZERO! It was such a nice morning though. I did end up chasing off some dude that thinks he has rights to hunt my friends farm whenever he wants to. He came creeping up the trail to the stand and I let him get about 30 yards before zapping him with my flashlight. I bet he about peed his pants lol He took off up the hill pretty swiftly.
