My buddies son 9 was out yesterday and we are going to try Friday again. My brotherinlaw is also going out on Friday with his son. I going to work hard to try and gets the kids a shot.

What up team? Seems like most are still getting out to hunt whether its gun or bow.
I hunted OH gun opener yesterday. Didn't see a dang thing. I don't like it, as I feel I should be good enough to pick a spot to see at least deer, but Oh well

This saturday I'll be back out in PA for a doe.

I'm still here. Looks like I might go out this weekend with a buddy, then I'll be off to Texas the following weekend to hunt with my bro for 2.5 days. He hasn't been seeing much from his stands either.
I'm starting to feel a bit inferior on this great team of ours. Hopefully one will pop out before mid Jan. Good luck to the other 3 yet to score and those looking to add more to their collection.

Yesterday was the first time on the first day of rifle season I did not see a deer. 3 of my friends also did not see deer. I believe the game com. needs to lighten up a little on all the doe permits. On most public land there is very little deer. I scout hard and hunt hard thats why I do good.

Clay, good luck hunting. Texas hunting should be good. I always see big ones taken on TV doen their.

Hey Clay, good luck it TX, hopefully you'll put a good one down. I havent been out much. I went out some this past weekend, all i saw was a small basket racked 8 pt, nothing to get excited over. Also my family and i got accused of wounding every deer in the county (during gun season) by our lovely neighbor lol. He said he was all kinds of deer with gutshots and legs blow off and all kinds of stuff. And the thing is we only fired 2 shots all season. One was a doe that i missed, and the other was my aunt that shot at a spike that was gut shot that ran from their property to ours. Ya their shooting illegal deer. Oh well i guess we better get used to it cause we're stuck with them. Well anyways good luck to anyone still out trying to get it done.

Theres no way we could prove it now. And who knows, maybe they they didnt even shoot it. Ya we probably should have called the game warden or something but the game wardens around here are so worthless that they probably would have never even showed up.

I'll be doing a quick Saturday morning hunt just SW of Clinton. Maybe something will cross paths with me. Finally cold enough to get them moving I think. Not the best timing with the past rut.
