TEAM 12 THREAD!!!!!

I've been out in the early morning the past two days, and heard lots of gobbling going on with our warm spell here... But, I have yet to hear any birds in a couple of prime spots, so I hope they are not done with their spring break up.

Well my dad and I were out scouting and on one of the pieces that we just got permission on are TWO toms with at least two beards (probably more). Plus 2 other smaller toms and some jakes and hens. These birds have NEVER been hunted. The big tom has already started to kick the jakes out and theres still a month to go! I cannot wait to put out by B-Mobile decoy out and then watch the show for awhile. I might need somthing to stick into my mouth so I dont laugh. Plus aside from weekends I will have 9 days after college is done to hunt
. That spot is bow only...which is ok. The only bad thing is that is about a 200 yard walk from the road
. I will be over the hill out of sight from the road. The other spot that I hunt makes up for that short walk
. So when Im gun hunting is when I will get my exercise. If you cant tell I am SO STOKED! I wish they would start to strut and gobble.

Both pics were taken in my general hunting location. Obviously they will spread out. Plus on the other side of the park that I hunt around there is at least another flock maybe another this size or bigger. The toms were gobbling at the truck when it would accelerate. Looks like they had one heck of a hatch last spring.

Chase, congrats on the bird!
I was out for the opener in VA today, primarily calling for my long-time partner and his nephew. I watched my partner miss a v. nice mature gob at 20 yds with a shotgun... we found his pattern centered on a tree 2' from where the gob was standing... must have been an earthquake or an awesome flinch...

Well went out tonight mainly to set up the blind for tommorow. Should be interesting if they dont fly across the river. I could have aced a jake or two but beings that it was the first evening I opted to pass. There are some MONSTEROUS birds around. Only bad thing about tomorow is that my mom needs the truck at 8:30ish[:@][:'(]I guarantee that those birds will be headed my way when its time to leave. oh well

I've been out only with a bow since MD opened last Friday, and the ladies have done their job protecting their men... a gun would not have changed the outcome. At leastits been a great year for morels [8D].
