Has anyone on the team harvested a bird. I shot one however, it made it to the a joining property and the land owner refused to allow us to get it. He did however, send his teenage son to get it out of the cow pasture which all we could do was watch. What realy makes me mad is that last year a person from that farm came on us to get his deer, I did not get mad that he came before asking or that he walked almost right under my stand. I helped the guy locate the deer and get it out. I would never want to keep someone else harvest no matter what side of the fence it is on. I have two more weeks in Kentucky and I think another week in Indiana to get one. Todays bird came in to 14 yards when shot. Good Hunting.

That is a bummer. I am sorry to hear about that but, as you mentioned, you still have some time left.

Our season in PA has not even started yet. This Saturday is the opener. I have two hours first thing in the morning to get out before heading to my oldest's baseball game. I will do what I can.

i hunted this week/end with no luck

i dunno i im doing somehting wrong or what but I've been dry the last few years
i hunted hard three whole days and never even had a chance. I saw pleanty of birds but none close.

i saw one group w/ a bunch of toms + hens and snuck up to a spot I had been seeing them and sat for five hours. There's no way they saw me they just didn't come around. The next day I saw them and ran up there, and they almost came at me, but they turned and went up the ridge. then they were in the woods and I got maybe 50 yds away form them but I couldn't get them to come any closer and I never saw them, except for a few hens that came looking for me. they must have saw me.

where I hunt anyway it seems we can never call them in anymore, they don't gobble a whole lot in the morning, no locator calls work, never gobble at night you almost have to get lucky and have them walk right infornt of you. You pick a spot and put a blind you may never see them again. I think i just always pick the wrong time of the year or something.

i didn't run and gun much though.

sorry im just a little frustrated. those damn turkeys.

THIS HAS BEEN A STRANGE YEAR FOR ME, SHOT A TOM AND HE FLEW ONTO THE PROPERTY NEXT TO OURS. I CALLED THE GUY AND HE ADVISED THAT HIS BOYS WHERE HUNTING AND HE WOULD GET AHOLD OF THEM. HE GOT AHOLD OF THEM AND THEY TOOK THE BIRD AND WAS NICE AND WAVED AS THEY DROVE OFF ON THERE ATV. CLOSED KENTUCKY WITH JUST A JAKE AND WAS UNABLE TO SCORE ON THE TOM I WAS LOOKING AT, A NICE WHITE ONE WITH A NICE 10 " ROPE. THE REASON I KNOW IT IS 10 INCHES MY BUDDY SHOT IT OR THE 3RD OF MAY AT 7 AM WHILE IT WAS IN HIS GARDEN. HOPE EVERYONE ELSE HAD BETTER LUCK. GOOD HUNTING.
