Turkeys-1
Trevor-0

Just got back in from my yearly AL turkey trip. They wipped my ass this year guys. Tough hunting. 1200 acres of straight up and down ridges with no fields anywhere. Bowhunting and Filming from the Double Bull didnt help my odds either. Got within 80 yards twice, just never could seal the deal. Learned a lifetime of knowledge about this farm from hiking it chasing a bird one day. It is straight up and down.

Good trip, gobbled alot on roost, tight lipped as soon as the hit the ground, not call responsive at all. Not to me or even the live hens. I guess their just not that interested yet or there is just a wealth of hens, IDK.

Getting within 20 yards of a wild sow and her piglets in the pitch dark where we couldnt see them was intense too. That is too long of a story though.[&:]

Im beat and need rest for this weekends TN trip. I will post up some pics tomorrow.

3 days and counting.

TN weather got the best of me.
AL birds got the best of me.

KY, I WILL get a bird. Ive got the blind, bow, decoys, and camo ready to go for Sat Mornin. We are off school Thurs and Fri as well, which should give me some time to get some up to date scouting in.
