LMAO Ill have you guys know, i had to walk 1000 yards behind my house last season to arrow my bird, and then walk back [8D]carrying a bird at that wheesh!!! Here is what is happening with my flock,The double beard in the pic has not been in my yard in a week, the birds are picking the ground clean before the turkeys show up. I see them all the time and they are starting to show dominance (pecking order) They have been flogging each other lately, and i look for them to split up in a couple of weeks and go there seperate ways.

The area in New Mexico I'll be hunting had over a 50% success rate last year. that and I know where the roosting areas are on the Tx public land I'll be hunting puts me in a confident frame of mind. My teammate Bloodcreek has already shown you his bird. Team 9 WILL prevail!

Dan let me tell you a story about a great old Turkey hunter.

In the spring many years ago an old hunter was bragging to his family how he called in this big tom and shot it. He even took the family to a spot. Now this spot was in the middle of a forest, no ag land anywhere within 100 miles. The old hunter went into great detail on how he called the turkey in. How it strutted around before he did the deed.

One of the young family members who was a know smartass looked at the ground where the bird was shot. Now he could have kept it to himself and saved the old timer some grief. But being the young gentleman he was, he kindly ask a question.

"How did this crack corn get here?" In disgust the old timer wrote the youngster out of the will

It was several years later when the youngster called in a big old Tom for him to shoot, he was fast a sleep in his chair, again the younger family member could have kept it to himself, but he did not. Now his kids are out of the will
