Yea .... I got the last three weeks of May , gotta wait till the 12th for my opening day then I have untill the 31st to fill my tag.
With any luck I'll get the off color phase ( white and gray ) tom that I've seen roming around , he gave me the slip last year.

Puting points on the board aint everything. as long as you had fun doing what you do then thats good enough Glad you got some new propertys as well.

Hey fellow team mates , I know I haven't posted much in here but I really had nothing to report on but I would like to say congrats to those who scored and got us on the broad.
My hunt starts this coming Monday and the weather is going to be good , it's with high hopes that I will have something to brag about Tuesday.
So wish me luck and I will keep you posted on the out come , I'll have three weeks to fill my tag if I don't shoot one on Monday.
I'm so geeked up about it and it's finaly here , I've been waiting for so long I can't stand it anymore.

Well .. my first day didn't do any good , it rained and the birds never showed or even gobbled.
My second day was kinda cool , it was foggy in the morning and I heard some gobbling in the distance but they never came close or I didn't see them.
My third day ... I moved to a diffrent location but didn't see any birds ( darn ) , it's a good thing I got untill the end of this month.
I'll keep trying and I might go to a friends place to do some hunting this weekend , his sister owns about 100 acres and 80 % of it is wooded.

Went out all day Tuesday with very little luck , saw a total ofthree deer early that morning had two tom's walk by about 80 yards.
Tried to call them in but they didn't but by 1:30 I saw one bird turned out to be a tom , he responed to my calling with some gobbles.
Once he saw my lonelybobble head feeding hen , he came in bow range , had my bow already drawen back but once I leanedinto the open window I spooked him and he ran off.
I'm not giving up yet , still trying I just don't have much luck in the late season , but I got untill the end of this month.

Hang in there Richard, man that was close.. I noticed this morning on the way home that they have started strutting around here again. it was a little lame for some time.
