SEASON STARTED THIS MORNING! Unfortunately I have to work, but onlythru Wed. I'll be out Thursday morning for the first time. Have a concert to go to Thursday night, so I doubt I'll make it up Friday morningWhen I do roll outit's hunting all weekend!

I had my last hunt of the season this morning. This was one of the most frustrating seasons I can remember. It has been a long time since I have failed to kill a bird in the spring. The high water and numerous hens made it quite a challenge. Sorry I couldn't help our team out. Good luck to those of you still hunting and those who are waiting for seasons to open.

Well guys, back from the weekend. Saw 4 gobblers, all together on Sat. They were about 100 yards from where I was set up. Dropped into the timber and got to where I thought they were in the field, peeked up over the edge and sure enough they were still there. Spottedsome brush to set up behind just across the logging road from where I was. The road was all rutted and muddy, guess my boot must have got stuck in the muck and gave me away. All four took to flight and there I was stuck behind the brush with no shot as they got a running start.

Other than that, saw 17 deer in the three mornings plus 1 hen.

I'll be out again this Sat, hope with better results.

Well my season finally opens today and im going to use my bow all week but if I dont get one by friday im going to my shotgun. Wish me luck
