I got league tomarrow night. Been doin alot of shooting but havent topped 48x yet. Hopefully tomarrow I can get it together..:(

I will be shooting for score on Wed night... I went and shot tonight but I was trying out a Back tension for the first time so I didn't think it was a good idea to shoot for ascore:D

I'm hoping to get my round in wednesday evening. I've been sicker than a dog for 2 weeks now, and my shop owner has pnuemonia, been closed for a week so we'll see.....That's the goal for now anyway. I'm still not feeling very well, but if we're open I'll most likely get it in then.

I shot a 299 - 38X. I've never been able to shoot a 300. I've had lots of 297's and a few 298's but I always drop one or two for some reason.
This time, it was my 31st arrow. I jinxed myself by talking to the guy next to me. I said "Halfway to 300" and sure enough the next arrow was high in the 4 ring.... :eek: |

Hope you get to feeling better mobow, I had that bad strain of Flu a few years ago and was bedridden for 2 weeks, was seeing the big white Buffalo and all that crap. G relax! Stopbanging your head on that block wall, that 300 is right around the corner. RuttNutt, give me a Hug  you hate it when I do that in front of these guy's don't ya  .I have been aiming at a stinking 5 spot target for weeks now without ever releasing an arrow because my oldblack holeis to shot out to shoot in the house. So Saturday I callVan's Pro Shop and indoor range (hour and a half away) thatwe usualymake a few tripsto in the winter to see when I can get in to shoot and Lyle tells me their giong on vacation till next wednesday so it would be not this, but next friday befor I could get in there to shoot  . So yesterday I found me a box and filled it full of those nylon feed bags, taped it to my target,ratcheted it to an old end table and gave it a few test shots in the yard, it's ugly but works perfect! I shot a 300 60X in the house last night after the wife went to work, 13 yards is all I can get from the front door, through the kitchen door, through the utilty room door, to the back door, but at least I got to shoot! When it hit 30 today I carried all my crap out to my outdoor range and started to shoot my score, but the cold wind was killing me with just a sweatshirt on, droped 5X's in 5 rounds,so I moved my stuff to the driveway beside the house out of the wind. Think I will wait till next friday to shoot another score where I can be indoors. I'll see whats worse, the cold wind, or someone jabbing me in thea$$ with their 34 1/2" 2712's while I'm trying to shoot. Oh one more thing, if I had been using my old 2013's instead of these 2512's, I figure I would have had 6X's less. Thats my report! |

I got rid of my tru ball back tension so I could get this just cuz and I think it was a mistake. I just cant get comfortable with it. I am getting a stan mag micro medium. One of the guys at the range had one and let me shoot it. It was the smoothest BT I have ever used. Caint wait to get it!! Looks like everyone is doin pretty good though. Should be a good four weeks of fun boys!!!!!! That's some good shootin' there pops.Maybe I can hang next week??????? And buckeye, that great shooting as well!! And if you whoop me in this, I am used to it.....I shoot with a guy in league that smokes me Bhfs every week. The kid is sick!!!! he shoots 55-57x/game. "gitderdun son" And pops, quit it with the damn hugs thing.......geeeesh......... |

Some nice shooting going on - way to go, gang.
As per our 'relaxed rules' ;), I shot half a round tonight and will do the other half on Wednesday. So far, 150-19x. gzg38b, I will be watching out for arrow #31. |

Got my round in, one X under Sliver, good shooting Sliver, good shooting Buckeye. It felt really good, 60 arrows out of the Airborne and I honestly felt like I could shoot another 60.
I dropped 2X's the first end then I talked to myself and said comon, you know better and then concentration kicked in. I had a few 4 ends for a 300 53X. |

Got the second half of my round done tonight to go with Monday's first half. My x count pales compared to everyone else so far, but I'm happy at not dropping any points. I didn't really even have any scary 'almost 4's' but could have had a few more x's if the lines were just a tetch wider - or my arrows were fatter.:D Score was 300-33x.

Damn......I feel like the 5th guy in the batting lineup.....and the first 4 just hit dingers....;)
No expectations, though. I'll post it up as soon as my new mods get here and see if it feels right. I shot 2 (whatever you call 100 points/ 20arrows) "ends" last week and didn't drop a point with my 82nd. I finished up that game on Monday night and dropped a point on my 52nd arrow. 299/33x -- 100/11x - 100/11x - 99/11x. We'll see if I have time to get this in on Saturday evening or maybe Friday evening. I may shoot the ASA VA State's on Saturday.....and that's a little more important than getting this round in. IBO Mid Atlantic Challenge is Sunday. Don't have ANY expectations.....just going for the experience(s). I'll try to get a round in, though. GREAT shootin' guys.;) |

I feel pretty good about the score I put up, I know I can get few more x's, but not bad since I shot my round 2 hours after picking up my new Hoyt. I shot the Hoyt last night in my pop-up league and shot a 404, that bow is driving nails. I swear, last night I felt I did not even have to aim, it was like the bow was doing all the work.

The Katera XL with the X3 cam. It is the first Hoyt I have ever shot and I loving it. I had been shooting High Country since 1988 and would have sworn they were the best bows ever. My opinion in now changing quickly!

Well, I shot half a game yesterday evening. First arrows I've shot in over 2 weeks. Felt pretty good, shot a 149 w/ 23X's.....I'll get my full round in Saturday. I probably would have finished it up last night except the batteries in my sight died, and I couldn't see those little bitty pins....LOL :D

Geez I've shot 5 spot one time and that was last year in the short league. I see no reason for me to be in this X race.
I may give it a go this week just to see..But I can't go no 4 weeks without dropping several. |

It may be Saturday or Sunday even before I get my round in. I just got a new bow and am not quite finished with it...
But I will be soon! I've never tried to shoot for score, so it may be rather interesting. (New bow and all...) |

Agreed, Sliverflicker. It is really of no consequence what you're shooting compared to others. It's all about improvement and challenging yourself. So I encourage everyone to participate, whether they think they can be on top of the heap or not. We all started low and worked our way up bit by bit. And remember, it's mandatory to have fun.;)

So, got my bow back today...working on sighting it in. The crazy thing keeps pushing right... Anything other than sight placement that I need to be looking at? Sure would like to get it worked out so I could shoot my round!

Guys I'm out, I guess. I didn't get my mods in until Thursday (and that was FAST.....thanks to a kind gesture). And....my hunting bow doesn't have an operable rest on it.
I got my bow sighted in on Friday....shot a state 3D qualifier on Sat. (2.5 hrs from home).....and an IBO event, today. Time just didn't allow for it. I'll keep an eye out....and good luck to all. Thanks Matt for doing this. |

Actually, I'm out too. I just can't motivate myself to shoot paper anymore this year, 3D is in full swing. I thoroughly enjoyed the Vegas league, and look forward to next year. Thanks RJ for all the work and effort, just so a few guys have a place to play. I appreciate it. Peace out, and good luck to ya'll.
